Why this perspective
The breadth is not the biography. It is the method.
Consequential decisions are rarely only strategic, financial, technological, organizational or human. They are usually several of those things at once.
My experience crosses entrepreneurship, technology, real estate, aviation, higher education, research, broadcasting, governance, competition, music and more than forty countries. I founded a technology company in 1998 and built and operated a real estate enterprise and portfolio. I also flew professionally and taught others to fly; taught and conducted research across business, finance, aviation safety and human factors; advised founders and executives; served as a board chairman; hosted a radio program; became a semifinalist in a long-drive event carrying a one-million-dollar prize; and played eight instruments.
The value is not the length of the list. It is what comparison makes visible. Aviation clarifies risk; real estate exposes incentives; technology enforces adaptation; research makes intuition answer to evidence; teaching reveals whether an idea can survive explanation; golf separates process from outcome; and music directs attention toward the relationships others overlook. That range allows me to examine the whole architecture of a problem rather than the portion claimed by one discipline.
